European Commission launches online Skills Profile Tool to aid integration Newly Arrived Migrants

The European Commission has recently launched an online tool that will make it easier for Newly Arrived Migrants to “support the early identification of the skills of refugees, migrants and other third-country nationals”.

“The EU Skills Profile Tool is an important step towards contributing to [integration]. Out of the many barriers to the labour market that non-EU-nationals living in the EU face – differences in language, lack of networks, discrimination – one, in particular, stands out: the absence of documentary evidence of skills and qualifications.”

“The ‘EU Skills Profile Tool for Third Country Nationals’ is an online editor that makes it possible for third-country nationals to present their skills, qualifications and experiences in a way that is understandable across the whole European Union.”
